Instead of bogging down my MacBook can I put my custom content on my external hard drive where my game sits? If so, how? Like step by step

    Yes you can by creating a symbolic link to the folder on the external drive. But you should move the whole Electronic Arts or Sims 4 folder, not just the Mods folder, as it can cause issues.
