Can I merge multiple game folders on my Mac?

I have downloaded, deleted, and redownloaded The Sims 4 several times on my old MacBook. I have it on my current one, and I find that I have three different folders for the game. I'm not sure which one is actually being used! I have one in my Applications folder, one in my iCloud Drive, and another in my iCloud Drive archive (honestly not even sure where that came from). When I first redownloaded the game last week, I had to figure out where exactly to put the game itself so that it would be able to reference the correct files (I.e. my saves). 

I want to be able to consolidate the folders I have, or delete the ones I don't need, though I dont want to delete anything and mess something up. Can I merge the folders together and have everything in one place and have the game running normally? If I merge them and my system asks if I want to replace files, would that screw it up?
