CAS is broken - help!

So I’ve wanted to play the sims 4 for a while. I just got some new packs and whenever I go into my game, I come across these issues in CAS:

• some icons for aspirations are grey llamas
• lots of clothing looks like broken cc (I have no cc or mods in my game)
• When I give my sim a name, it just shows up as blanks and the pronouns just show as a / with no pronoun on either side

I haven’t even gone into the game to play in live mode because I’m stuck with these issues in CAS. 

I’ve tried to repair my game and that didn’t work, so I uninstalled and reinstalled everything. That didn’t work either. My game is downloaded onto my external LaCie hard drive, if that means anything. My Mac is a 2017 MacBook Air running Monterey. I’ve also installed all updates that needed to be downloaded since I last played (which is several years worth).
