Have you tested with a new Sims 4 folder to see if it still happens? https://answers.ea.com/t5/Technical-Issues-Mac/READ-FIRST-Sims-4-Mac-Help-Guides-and-Troubleshooting/m-p/4612394#M163

Thanks for the replies 🙂
And is this happening only with existing saves? Or also with brand new ones? If with new ones, is it after going into live mode? For example, if you have a new save and you have only entered build mode, does it happen?
I'm having the same issue, no warning, no spinning wheel of death, it just closes itself. I don't know what the update has done, but it's not even just on Mac! I get about 20 minutes of gameplay before it closes itself with no warning.

I always save the game in new save, I do not overwrite the existing file and the game still shuts down unexpectedly after the last update, I had no problem before.
Thank you for helping! Files attached.
Sometimes it's 10 mins in or sometimes it's 45 mins in, but the game just quits and kicks me back to Origin. No spinning wheel, no error message, just happens during standard gameplay.
Already removed my mods folder and repaired the game, updated my MacOS, etc.
- @Bluebellflora Hi, haven't had it happen in BB mode, only in Live mode, but doesn't seem connected to a specific action or travel etc...

You’re not starting a new save though? You loaded your save from before the patch and saved as a new save?
