SilentWalker313 Have you tried restoring a backup of the corrupted save? Start with a clean Sims 4 folder again by renaming the current one, launching the game and then quitting. Move the backup save that has .Ver0 in the file name into the newly created Sims 4 > saves folder.

Thanks for the suggestion. I've just tried it but when loading the game it doesn't recognize there is any save data, the only option is to start a new game.

SilentWalker313 did you remove the Ver from the file name so the extension was simply .save?

I tried deleting the Ver and the same issue occured. I tested the Ver1 save file and was successful with my test and got past the endless loading, I lost some data but am glad that file is working at the very least. I also tested another family and it worked. So the issue is exclusive to the .save and .save.ver0 files, is there a way that I could repair them or should I take the loss :/
