Foundation too dark

Hi guys, hope everyone is safe, I just needed help with what I think is a new issue on MY computer... So I play on a Mac (specifically a MacBook) and only recently did I choose to change my game options to high or ultra qualities. The problem is that now my foundations are darker than normal, and for instance I can't get a "all white" foundation because the lightest one is literally "dark grey". Whenever I choose a swatch they are way darker than presented and I can't seem to do anything to fix it, I tried changing the game settings back to "medium" or even "low" for everything -and restarting the game everytime- yet nothing seems to fix this problem. Please help this is so frustrating! 😢

    Thank you for answering, however, it is not in the shade! Actually I tested it in all sorts of places and mostly in Sulani in one of the islands where there is no shade! It seems like a glitch or a bug but i don't know how to fix it

    I have experienced this before. Do you mean in build mode or in game? In build mode it could be that your roof isn’t covering all of the room and that you may need to add more light. Could you be a little more specific? I would love to help! Hope you are doing well!

    I think I see what you mean though, is it like this? It looks in the thumbnail like it should be white but it's a dull grey instead (ignore the lines on the foundation, that's another, separate issue)

    I took that picture in afternoon sun on a lot in Willow Creek.

    Looks pretty much the same on PC Ultra settings.

    Hello! Everything well over here, thank you for your help, although the roof is definitely not the problem! I have been playing the sims 4 for a little over 4 years now and the only thing that this looks like is the interior lighting bug- sometimes when the lights are on inside but the objects look as if in a dark room. This time though, it is outside, and the lighting is set on high, with the sun being full-on mid-day. Anyway, I'm sending 2 pictures, one (the darker foundation one) is mine, and the other one is what it should look like. Both pictures have the same foundations yet mine looks as if dirty and the trim is darker. Thank you for your help, stay safe!

    My mac is operating under Mojave the 10.14.6 version and I do not have any mods or custom content installed. I have no antivirus either and repairing the game did not work either.

     No way!! 😢 How do people get to be so white as in these pictures! Is it a Mac problem or what?
