Gallery Won't Connect
I recently downloaded the Sims 4 on my Mac and it was running just fine until one day I tried to access the community gallery to download a house to my lot and it said that a connection was required....

I'm encountering the same issue. The EA app has been randomly kicking me offline since I was forced to install it. Like you, if I choose connect in the gallery, it just sits there and loads until I give up. What is working for me is this: minimize the game, go into the EA app and tell it to go online, go back into the game gallery and choose connect. A few times I've had to quit the game and then go online in the app and restart my game, but usually I can just minimize it.
