The Sims 4 is crashing to desktop without warning or error messages during normal gameplay. This has been happening for a prolonged period of time and is occurring frequently enough to make the game unreliable and frustrating to play. Platform: Mac. Game version: Fully up to date. Playing via: EA App. Mods/CC: No. The game closes suddenly and completely during gameplay with no error code, no freeze, and no crash notification. The EA App remains open, but The Sims 4 itself shuts down unexpectedly. The crashes do not happen after a consistent amount of playtime and do not appear to be linked to any specific action, interaction, or event. Crashes can occur shortly after loading into a household or after several hours of stable gameplay. They occur during normal activities such as Live Mode, travelling, interacting, or sometimes during seemingly idle play. There is no visible pattern or trigger. The issue happens multiple times across different play sessions and has been occurring for weeks or months, not just after a recent update. The crashes appear unrelated to specific packs, households, or gameplay styles. The lack of error messages makes diagnosis difficult. The issue significantly impacts gameplay and confidence in saving progress. This appears consistent with long-standing stability or memory issues within the game rather than user error.
