Game lags if a sim turns on computer and tv

I thought the new memory boost update would fix, but it didn't. The game lags as soon as a tv or computer is turned on and ends if I shut the tv off or delete it.

I'm on the latest update, and using an M4 Macbook Air. The game also seems to refresh objects as I scroll through the lot which causes lag, and this wasn't happening before the new update. I haven't really noticed a performance boost it just seems like everything got slightly worse.
