Game not starting

Hello! So for about a week now my game has not been able to start ,first I had broken cc/mods it alway paused on the first loading screen and now since I fixed that, when I go to launchpad to open TS4 it says:

"The last time you opened the sims 4, it unexpectedly quit while reopening windows. Do you want to try to reopen windows again?

(Don't reopen) (Reopen)

Either one I click leads me to the same thing:

The Sims 4 quit unexpectedly

Click reopen to open the application again. This report will be sent to Apple automatically

Now it says "You cannot open the application "The Sims 4" because it may be damaged or incomplete.

The same screens that came up before are back, but now there's a big white x around the sims 4 when I try to open it on spotlight search

I restarted my computer and the sims 4 is showing up in my game library again so I'm repairing it, if that doesn't work I'll send you the screenshots

Hi, I'm sorry I've been super busy lately so I haven't been able to reply. My brother said I should try opening the game through finder and when I tried it said that the game may be damaged or incomplete.

So I decided to move the sims to my desktop to open it and my ENTIRE game has restarted and I'm freaking out, all of my packs have restarted, my entire game, and my custom content. I don't care that much about the game it's just I would like to keep my custom content since I liked the items I had in it

Why did you move it to the Desktop? The Sims game icon should be in your Applications folder. Your game data - saves, CC etc. is in the Sims 4 folder in Documents > Electronic Arts. If you have moved out that Sims 4 folder to your desktop then the game will start as new again and create a new folder in Documents > Electronic Arts. Your previous saves, CC etc. will be in the folder you moved.

My friend had a very similar problem and that worked for her and many other people I have seen but it actually helped cause it created a new mods folder for my game so I moved my custom content into that folder and my game is now working
