How to remove update files on mac sims 4?

I was updating The Sims 4 (it was a long time ago since I played), but in the middle of the update, the update froze and my computer (an old macbook) gave me a warning about my disk space, which now is almost completely filled up. The update was like 80% through and now those update files are wasting like 10 gb of space. Does anyone know how to delete those update files? I can't seem to find them in "application support" or in the EA-folder. Please help!

You can't. You need to free up space and the update should then carry on from where it paused due to lack of space.

But I don’t want the update anymore, because I rather not play the sims than not being able to use my computer. Are you sure there is no way to remove these files? There is no other way for me to free up space.
