Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Open the game. When the main menu pops up none of the sims that I have created previously appear and when I enter Create a Sim the sim character does not appear.
What happens when the bug occurs? From the moment I enter the game my Sim character is completely invisible. I can go through the process of creating a household and move into game play but my sim is completely invisible. When I go to choose a world to live in everything is gone. All of the residential lots are gone and the other properties(parks and other public locations) that come with the game are gone.
What do you expect to see? No sims characters, no houses, no empty residential lots, no parks, no locations.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Never used.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Yes
Please describe the patch or change you made. I opened my origin account and it began an automatic update of the game. Once the update was complete I went to go play the game and ran into this issue.
I logged into my origin account and it began an automatic updated of the game. Once the update was complete I launched the game but all of the households and games I had previously create were gone. All I could do was create a new game. When I entere Create A Sim the option to choose their traits and their name is still there but the Sim character cannot be seen. The game will let me go through the process of creating a household but I cannot see any of the sim characters I create. The game will also let me save the household and move on to choose a home but when entering any of the worlds they are all empty. There are no locations or residential lots to choose from so I can't go anywhere.
