Mac trackpad and mouse not working

Hello, I reinstalled The Sims 4 and the first time I launched and played the game for 2 hours, everything was working fine. When I launched the game afterwards, the click and rotate settings stopped working.

Some things I am unable to do:

Adjust face and body proportions in create a sim mode

Rotate the camera in the build mode and in normal gameplay

move the camera in build mode or in normal gameplay.

I have repaired the game and shut down/sleep/restarted my laptop a bunch of times. My Mac is running normally, as my first playthrough was completely fine.

I use both a trackpad and a mouse, neither work anymore (sometimes they do but it doesn't reflect the movements i've done with my trackpad or mouse)

Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Trackpad and mouse controls are not working properly. The Click and drag option to move around the world is not working. The right click to rotate is not working, The click and drag in create a sim is not working.
What happens when the bug occurs? The trackpad/mouse movements are not actioned in the game
What do you expect to see? Controls to work properly as trackpad/mouse movements reflect in the game.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? CC only. But I have removed them and the same issue occurs
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Yes, after the  1.69.59.1220 update
