@Bluebellflora When the game would actually get past the Sims 4 loading screen to the "New Game/Load Game" screen, I did enable Sync (this solved the problem of the game freezing during gameplay). However, what is happening now is that the game freezes at the Sims 4 loading screen before you get to the New Game/Load Game screen.
