We downloaded Big Sur onto our iMac and Macbook a week ago. Neither computer will now download Origin and as a result we cannot play Sims 4 anymore. When we try to download Origin we get the message " Looks like your computer is running a operating system we no longer support, but you can still download and play your games using an older version of Origin."
It is surprising that there seems to be little information about it (or a fix) and the issue has been talked about since Mac users started using the beta of Big Sur back in June. Any recommendations, information or fixes out there that we don't know about?

Try following the instructions of the following link. I've tried so many things and this was the one that solved the issue for me.

Hope it helps you too!

My Sims isn't working through Origin at all...and neither is my newly purchased Sim City...all since I updated to macOS Big Sur. Any idea how to fix this? When I spoke with EA support they said Origin isn't currently compatible with Big Sur. Are there any workarounds?

Did you buy SImCity through Origin? It won't work in Big Sur or Catalina as the EA version is 32-bit and Apple no longer support 32-bit apps. Better off getting a refund and buying the Aspyr version through the Mac App Store as it is 64-bit.
Please be more specific when you say Sims isn't working for you and also please ignore EA support, they are clueless mostly when it comes to any support for Macs.
