Move EA Folder (Mac)

Hey 🙂 I play Sims 4 on my Mac (Sonoma 14.4.1) and use the iCloud. Unfortunately, you can only enable or disable the cloud upload for both the Desktop and Documents together (which I don’t want to do, because I have large files on my desktop). However, I would like to exclude just the Electronic Arts folder from iCloud because I have to download it every time before I start the game, and it's about 2GB due to the CC I have.

My question is whether I can just move the folder so that the entire content doesn’t keep getting uploaded to iCloud? Or is there another solution?

I really appreciate your help, thank you!

Okay, I did that. My documents and desktop are no longer synched. But now the EA folder reappears in my Cloud documents folder when I move it to my documents folder on my Mac. Is there any way to change the default location of the folder? I'm so lost and I can't find a way to solve this anywhere. Please help.

If the EA folder is recreating in iCloud it will be because you still have Desktop & Documents syncing. Can you post a screenshot with the path bar enabled at the bottom of the Finder window clearly showing the Docs folder in iCloud?
