My graphics in tab mode are terrible

Question

I have my graphics settings to ultra but my graphics in tab mode are absolutely awful. It looks like I have them on the lowest setting. It looks fine in game it is just in tab mode that they are bad. The camera has also been acting very weird which causes things to disappear when I am a get closer them. I’m just wondering if anyone knows how to fix this because it is really annoying when I’m trying to take screenshots in game.

Also I don’t use any graphics mods or reshade or anything. I play on Mac and I don’t have many mods installed, all of which are up to date. This has been happening since before the update. So I don’t think it’s related to that.

gloomytraitt can you try a mod free game to rule out mods being the issue. Move out the Mods folder and trash the localthumbcache.package file.
Can you also post a screenshot of how the game looks normally and one in live/tab camera?

Here are the two pictures. This is after I removed my mods folder and deleted the localthumbcache.package file. The changes are kind of slight in this but the sims face is obviously blurred as well as some of the background objects. The shadows also seem to be affected.

gloomytraitt yes, ever so slightly blurry bit not to the point where the graphics look awful. Could you post a screenshot of your in-game graphics options? Which specific model Mac are you playing on and which version of macOS?
