My sims game won't open after I placed a 50x50 lot

My sims game won't open on my mac after I placed a 50x50 lot that I found in the gallery. Every time I went back to manage worlds it would freeze on the loading screen and take forever to load. I waited for 30 minutes and it didn't open. It wouldn't even force quit so I had to restart my laptop. So I tried placing the lot again except I saved while I was editing the building in manage worlds. I went back to manage worlds again anticipating it freezing on the loading screen. and it did, so I restarted my computer again, but this time when I went to open sims, it wouldn't open. I repaired the game, I don't have any new mods, I cleared my cache, I tried removing my latest save(i might've not done this right, I just moved sav.0 to my desktop), I removed my mods folder, and still nothing. someone help!!
