Re: Game Data Incomplete, grey llamas, red and white sims, broken textures
This will be long. I'm sorry. I just want all the details to be there.
I'm on a 2018 MacBook Air. I haven't played my game since 2024. Last year I tried to play but realized I didn't have enough storage on my Mac to do the much needed software update or download the new EA app. I put it off and told myself I would just get an external hard drive later.
Fast forward to now -- I have the external hard drive. I bought a Maxone 320GB hard drive and last night I freed a bunch of space on my Mac by putting personal files and some sims files on it. I was finally able to update my Mac and download the Ea app. I downloaded the game and all of the packs I have. All of my saves are gone which stung a bit but I've been here before and don't mind starting over. What I can't deal with is an issue I've never had before-- CAS is broken. I'll attach a photo:
From the looks of it, it's only my packs. It's not any base game items. I have no idea what I did wrong!
Extra info:
- My mods AND cc have been removed
- My game used to play from my iCloud files. I put a copy of that folder on my external hard drive. I have a bunch of Sims4 related folders on this hard drive and I'm wondering if that's what's causing the issue?
- I have already tried repairing the game
- I have already tried uninstalling the packs
Here is what the hard drive looks like. I labeled the folders 1, 2, and 3.
Folder 1 has the same exact folder in it with more sims data
Forgive me if I sound like a bone head but I'm not good with this stuff and really just want to be able to play my game again : (
