@Bluebellflora Okay so I went back to this and I have storage, I took out the files that were not backing up and I am going to try it again.

What happens if you simply click on Resume in the main menu?

Try a clean Sims 4 folder as described here - https://answers.ea.com/t5/Technical-Issues-Mac/READ-FIRST-Sims-4-Mac-Help-Guides-and-Troubleshooting/m-p/4612394#M163 Once the folder is recreated move one of your saves into the saves folder and see if it loads.

@Bluebellflora So I got to the saves that actually load up. When I press resume orange and green warning signs show up on all the houses.

Your files are back now though? You managed to resume a previous save. The issue you now have is that save may possibly be corrupted, affected by out of date Mods, or bugged.

@Bluebellflora There are no mods in my game and when I click the "load game" Button they just say "slot_..." When I click on them it forces me to make a whole new sims and the orange and green warning signs are coming in. None of my old files are loading in the saves nor are they coming up in the gallery

Open Terminal (Applications > Utilities > Terminal) and copy and paste the following search command then hit Enter/Return:

find / -type f -name "*Slot_*" 2>/dev/null

It's going to take a while but will eventually return the results of the search. Please copy and paste the results in a post here.

Thanks. You two separate user accounts on your Mac, one called nyeishathompson and one called nveishathompson with a Sims 4 folder in each, with saves in it.

nyeishathompson:

/Users/nyeishathompson/Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 4/saves/Slot_00000009. save /Users/nyeishathompson/Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 4/saves/Slot_00000008. save /Users/nyeishathompson/Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 4/saves/Slot_00000007.save /Users/nyeishathompson/Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 4/saves/Slot_0000000a. save

If none of those are loading then I would think maybe they are corrupted.

nveishathompson:

/Users /nveishathompson/Documents/Electronic Arts /The Sims 4/saves/Slot 00000002.save

Won't load because it has a space instead of underscore between Slot and 00000002.save. The associated backups do too.

For some reason there is a space between /Users and /nveishathompson/ in that user account. I have no idea why and have never seen that before. The file path should be /Users/nveishathompson/

But you haven't copied and pasted all the results. I can see something in iCloud at the top of the screenshot. Please post everything, I can't help you unless you provide everything asked for. A proper copy and paste too please, not a screenshot. Copying and pasting would not add spaces and remove characters.

They won't load because they are not in the Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4 folder. The .verX file extension means they are backups, you can restore them.

You have a load of saves in your iCloud trash. Maybe try moving those back into the correct saves folder, one at a time, to see if that's what you're missing? If the file doesn't end in .save it won't load.
