Weird. Are you playing a vanilla game or do you have any Mods or custom music in the game?
You could try playing with the settings in Applications > Utilities > Audio MIDI Setup and see if that helps when you’re playing. It helped with a very specific audio cracking issue on M1 Macs https://answers.ea.com/t5/Technical-Issues-Mac/Audio-Cracking-Popping-When-Loading-or-Music-is-Playing-M1/m-p/10323858#M46137 (that issue was specific to that model Mac and is not related to your problem)
