Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? It prompted me to download the new update and then when it restarted I lost all my saved families and it restarted as though I had never played the game before.
What happens when the bug occurs? I lost all my saved files.
What do you expect to see? I expect to see my save files.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Never used.

The Sims 4 prompted me to install a new update and restart, and when I did I lost all my save files. I want to be able to have my family again. I went into documents/electronic arts/the sims 4/saves and there is nothing there.
There is nothing in my iCloud and storage for it. I have attached images of what it shows after the update. It got rid of all my save files after the update.
Ok. Please open Terminal and copy and paste the following search command then hit Enter/Return:
find / -type f -name "*Slot_*" 2>/dev/null
After a little while it will return the results of the search. Please copy and paste the results in a post here.
