Sims 3 won't load after playing for a while

This has been an issue for a couple of months now. Every time I start a new game I only get to play it for a few days, after that the game won´t load past the 99%. I´ve tried removing my mods and CC without success, although it shouldn't be a problem as the very same mods worked great only a few hours earlier. I´m getting tired of making new games after new games as I can never really play. What can I do to resolve this?

OS X El Capitan (version 10.11.5)

Macbook Pro 13 (2015)

Processor: 2,7 GHz Intel Core i5

Memory: 8 GB 

Graphic: Intel Iris Graphics 6100 1536 MB

I only have one expansion pack; university life and it´s bought from origin like the base game.

Can anyone help me resolve this issue once and for all?
