I can load into the game fine, but after about five minutes of gameplay, it freezes, crashes, then force restarts my mac. I have tried removing all mods, starting a completely fresh game by renaming the old game file, and repairing through the EA app. This last attempt to fix was temporarily successful for about 24 hours but now the issue has returned, I have tried repairing again but with no luck, is anyone else having this issue or know how to solve it?
i have a thread for this same issue...started after the Tahoe update...so im thinking EA needs to fix that, at first i could get some gameplay in now in CAS, or even after queuing any activity for my sims...automatic crash and restart to my computer which got worse.

That's very strange. The behaviour you're describing is the exact issue caused with vsync being disabled, not enabled. Can you test a completely clean game, as explained here:

Don't forget to immediately enable vsync in the game options when you get to the main menu.
I've merged your thread into this one, it's pointless having two separate threads on the exact same issue on different forums. Same instructino to you as to the OP, properly test a clean game and don't forget to enable vsync at the main menu when you launch your new clean Sims 4 folder

Ive already done all of these things. When a new folder loads i can open the game fine, but when i try to create a new game it crashes, my game has loaded fine since EA's update on the 19th and turning on vsync but i still cant enter CAS or it will restart my whole computer. I've posted my specs on the other thread just waiting for a response. So the game seems to work fine now as long as i dont try to edit my sims or their wardrobe which is sad because i was looking forward to trying the new looks.
