You haven't tried everything. Move or rename the whole Sims 4 folder then try to load the game. Further instructions - https://answers.ea.com/t5/Technical-Issues-Mac/READ-FIRST-Sims-4-Mac-Help-Guides-and-Troubleshooting/m-p/4612394#M163
Does it still happen with none of your current user data in the new Sims 4 folder?
Hi Bluebellflora the same thing is happening again, and i am quite confused on how to fix it. I have all backup saves and mods in folders thankfully but everytime i open sims 4 via EA app it opens a whole new folder and doesn't contain my saves or mods although they are in the folder. also would like to add that i have an external drive that i have most of my stuff on for storage purposes. but i of course have the electronic arts folder on my documents on my laptop with the folder with the little arrow (i forget what it's called i'm sorry) and i know thats where my sims should be opening from. please help if you can, you always help me and it works everytime

I am having the same issue! Last night it deleted all my mods. When I tried to get back on, all it does is load and then crashes.
