Sims 4 legacy edition

Hey guys! 

i wanted to ask do you guys recommend me downloading the sims 4 legacy edition and if it works faster for MacBook users ( I’m using a MacBook 2017 version 12.7.1 macOS Monterrey) and I have read that it’s better for unsupported devices but also rad somewhere that it no longer available.. so is it worth it ? And if so is it still available?
