I'm having the same issue, I hadn't logged in for a few days and decided I wanted to play a bit tonight, but when I logged in there was an update and now my sims are gone. The only thing I got was an "unrecognized video card" notification but it was resolved. I restarted my computer, backed my game and my sims still aren't back. There isn't anything in my gallery either.
I apologize for responding like 2 weeks later, I got super busy and was unable to work towards resolving my issue until now. I read through the article but honestly had troubles understanding it since I am on a MacBook Air and don't use OneDrive. However, here's a screenshot of my saves.
michelledoestuff Can you please enable the Show Path Bar in Finder (instructions) then post a screenshot of your saves folder with the path bar clearly visible at the bottom of the Finder window
