Sims 4 won’t launch from EA app

This problem started yesterday. When clicking play in the EA app, the window minimises as if sims is about to launch, but the immediately the app comes back up. Sims will not launch at all.  I h...

I have tried taking the sims folder and putting it on my desktop and the game still wouldn’t launch. 

I've just skimmed through the other things in your linked article and I haven’t tried all of those, so will have a look when I can get to my laptop later. Thanks for the advice.
