Sims Medieval Won't Launch on Mac
I just purchased and installed Sims Medieval Limited Edition for the Mac. When I try to launch the game, I get a message asking if I want to download an update. I click on "Cancel." I then get the game logo and a white box with the message:
The request timed out. (-1001)
http://launcher.thesimsmedieval.com/launcher/home.html?login_layer_display
Am I doing something wrong? I am using a 2.5Ghz Mac, Intel Core i5, Operating System Mountain Lion 10.8.2. Thanks for your assistance.
Here are the links to the updated patches that work (I've tested it myself). Make sure you download the relevant patch for your game, e.g whether you are playing the game from the physical disc or digital download:
