sims4 wont launch on macbook air?

i am trying to launch the sims4 on my macbook air but nothing seems to be happening. the sims logo will bounce at the bottom of the screen as if it is opening but then i am brought back to the ea app...

    I'm having the exact same issue and I have tried all of the below, including creating a clean game, I feel so disappointed since I can't play the game and enjoy the Reapers Rewards events, and I've tried EA live chat twice and neither time has been helpful at all. Please could someone help! ☹️
