Stuck on Loading Screen for 'Manage Worlds'

Hi all,

Since the most recent Sims 4 patch on Sept. 18, 2025, I can no longer access Manage Worlds. Here’s what happens:

The game loads fine and I can use Resume Game to enter a household.
But as soon as I try to go to Manage Worlds, the game gets stuck on the loading screen indefinitely.

Things I’ve already tried:

Repaired the game in the EA App
Cleared Sims 4 cache files
Renamed my Sims 4 folder to force a clean one and tested with a new save
Tested with no mods or CC
Copied saves one by one into a new folder — all show the same problem

In other words, this happens even with a brand-new save in a completely clean Sims 4 folder.

Because the issue started immediately after the patch, it seems like the update itself may be the cause rather than corrupted saves or mods.

Has anyone else run into this since the patch?

    If you've started with a whole new clean Sims 4 folder and a new save and still having the issue that would indicate it is a game installation problem on your Mac. You definitely didn't move any old files into the new Sims 4 folder before attempting a new clean game as described here?     Which exact model Mac do you have and version of macOS? Everything from About This Mac please but not the serial number.

    Could you upload one of your saves and PM me the link so I can test in my game?
