Unable to start: The Sims 4 is already running - Mac only

If you're experiencing this error message it doesn't mean your game is already running, the actual message itself is incorrect. It means The Sims 4 cannot access the Electronic Arts > The Sims 4 fold...

It's definitely the sims 4 - I guess that error message has been around for a while then.
It wasn't the graphics or anything like that. Something wrong with the files...
EA left me to hang and hung up on my multiple times until I got right pissed and fixed it by my damn self.
If anyone wants to know how I did it, I'll let em know. But I don't wanna help this whack site that couldn't help me...

please tell me how u fixed it 🥲 I had had to delete all of my sims families like 3 times and its aggravating... I think something is wrong with the game and they need to fix it because way to many people are struggling to play this game, and it continues to this day 🤦🏾‍♀️Its 2023!!

    What problem are you having? The solution on page 2 has two fixes in it for the issue reported in this thread. If you have a different problem on your Mac please create a new post.
