I bought the game june 2016 and I've never been able to open it, since origin keeps telling me that "the sims 4 is already running" with the errorcode:
[ed35e0ea:29f00e76:00000000:18a1dd51]
I've already tried reinstalling origin and resetting it. I've checked my task manager and it is not running. I've gotten a new macbook (the touchbar one) and it still tells me that the sims 4 is already running. Help me, please

I keep getting this error when I try to open Sim 4. I've already tried all the troubleshooting threads and still nothing is working. I contacted EA support and they told me to post here and wait. I'm irritated and just want to play my game.

Merged into the ongoing 27 page thread. See the solution on page 1, it's most likely a permissions issue.- 2 years ago
I've already checked my privacy settings and gone through this forum thread to troubleshoot I am still getting this popup.

Please post screenshots showing the game and Origin permissions in System Settings > Privacy & Security > Files and Folders and System Settings > Privacy & Security > Full Disk Access.
Can you also explain your exact setup - where your game is installed to, where the Sims 4 folder is stored and which version of macOS you are running.
