I know it's a long shot since you wrote that about 7 years ago. I don't even know if you will get a notification or email about my answer. Hell, I don't even know if you remember how you fixed it after all these years, if it's happened to you again since, or if you even play the sims anymore lol.
But I've been trying to fix this error for 3 days now. It has happened before and repairing the game and checking my mods worked fine then.
I now have deleted every mod, I reinstalled the game, checked that I have granted access to my files & folders, I've tried everything.
If there's even a small chance you'll see this and you remember what worked for you, I'd be glad to give it a shot!
