Unable to start: The Sims 4 is already running - Mac only

If you're experiencing this error message it doesn't mean your game is already running, the actual message itself is incorrect. It means The Sims 4 cannot access the Electronic Arts > The Sims 4 fold...

Every time i try to click into the game and play. It says "The sims4 is already running [ed35e0ea:29f00e76:00000000:18a1dd51]"

Also to mention i use an SanDisk Extreme Portable SSD.

I would like to find out how to resolve this problem!
