Why does the Sims 4 take up so much space?
I have a Macbook Air 2015 and the Sims 4 application takes up over 25 GB. It is more than any application and really cuts into my Mac's available space. I'm not talking about the folder in documents, but the actual application in "applications". I don't know if they are the same thing but they apparently take up different amounts of GB.
I am wondering if there is anything I can do to reduce this number. Is it because of too many packs or custom content? Any help is appreciated.
Hi @k3rm1t123,
Size on your Applications folder depends on you base game + packs installed. 25GB for The Sims 4 is normal, the game has so many assets and with lots of packs installed the game is huge. You can't do anything to prevent this, if you want to play The Sims 4 with all your packs installed the game needs that space. You can always install the game on a external drive to free up some space on your internal drive.
