    No, as soon as you switch from TS4 to another app the operating system will throttle processing power to a minimum to the game and ramp up power to the active app. The same goes for memory usage too. This is especially prevalent on the ARM equipped (M-series Apple silicon) Macs which are incredibly efficient and macOS which is now designed for these new generation Macs. It's never a good idea to have a game running in the background though if you're going to be doing something else for a while on any machine. Quit the game and relaunch it when needed.

    You should never play for extended periods using the battery, always have it plugged in.
