[WORKAROUND] 11.17.20 patch - game won't stop loading

I play on a Mac - My game did today’s update to fix the crashing and now it won’t load at all! Was waiting up to 10 mins and it was just stuck on the loading screen. I took off all my mods and still ...

    In the Origin app, right-click on the gear icon next to the Play button and select "Repair".

Hello, can someone please tell me what's wrong with my sims? Everything works and loads perfectly fine until I get to the load screen after I choose a family. Like I can go into the game, pick a family from the little home screen that has everything on it, and then after I pick a family, when the loading screen is there, it will not load. I always end up having to force quit it. For background, I have a MacBook, I use mods, I have the update and I don't have snowy escape.
