In the Origin app, right-click on the gear icon next to the Play button and select "Repair".

Try a game repair through Origin
Tried -
removing mods
resetting origin
repair game
update game
restarting MacBook
nothing is working, I have endless load times, any suggestions 🤦🏽♀️
My game was having the same issue (latest version, MacBook Air)
repairing the game worked eventually,
I could previously get it to work by moving my save file out of the EA folder - but that doesn’t help with playing any previous saves of course!
I’ve tried it all twenty times and nothing is working. The sims team seem to completely silent other than telling people to repair, when repair isn’t working for a lot of people. Very annoying when you’ve spent hundreds on this franchise.
im going to try completely re-installing my game - I’ll update if I see any changes.
Well I might have just fixed it. I hope I’m not speaking too soon but I just uninstalled my game from origin and then installed it again + all the expansion packs. I then went into the game and cleared the previously played sims inventories. ( not the active households ) and it seemed to have worked. For now. So try that and see how it goes
