    @PrinceNeopolitan  As a test, please disable Avast entirely, then repair Sims 4.  As long as you don't do anything else at the same time, your computer should be safe.  I've seen a couple reports that one version of Avast needs more intervention than only the exception, but I don't know whether that's true or was only true for a couple days or reflects user error.  Regardless, this is a useful test.

@PrinceNeopolitan  This error is currently mostly due to antivirus software blocking Sims 4 from starting.  The game's default executable is now TS4_DX9_x64.exe, for the DirectX 9 version; only DX11 uses TS4_x64.exe.  So set an exception for TS4_DX9_x64 if you haven't already.

For some antivirus programs, and perhaps Windows Defender too, it may be necessary to set an exception for the entire folder.

Hi first off thank you so much for the advice. I did try it but I am still encountering the same issue. I'm honestly not too sure if I did it correctly but my default antivirus in my laptop is Avast. So I added TS4_DX9_x64.exe as an excepted command. I Would seriously appreciate more insight as to what I can do 😢
