253mb lot saved to library but is taking forever to gallery

I remodeled the entire inside of Rio Verde, went to upload to library and it took like 25 minutes so i restarted my computer cuz I thought it was crashing. It did save to the library, but strangely the changes didnt stay on the actual lot so I have to bulldoze and replace... which was really annoying .... and then i tried uploading to the gallery, and it's taking forever again. the first attempt i restarted because i thought it was crashing again. I have it uploading now but it's taken a half an hour so far. It's loading ring looks normal like its working and the music is still playing and i can minimize the window to post this, but for some reason its just taking a really long time. I know it's under the size limit. Why is it taking so long? do I just need a new graphics card or is this common?
