All my sims and builds are gone

Growing Together, High School Years, Cottage Living, Eco Lifestyle, Discover University, Seasons, Cats & Dogs, Get Together, Get to Work, Holiday Celebration Pack, Dream Home Decorator, Parenthood, Dine Out, and Spa Day. Plus various kits
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? I'm not even sure how I found the bug
What happens when the bug occurs? I open the game and somehow I lose all my progress from the last year or more. This is the second time this has happened to me and I haven't gotten any of my sims or builds back even though my computer still has the save files.
What do you expect to see? All my builds and sims should be there when I open the game since the save files are still on my computer
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.

I'm really not sure how this happens, but this is the second time that it has happened to my sims now. I opened the game earlier and everything loaded fine, all my sims and houses were there like normal but something came up so I saved and closed the game like normal. When I came back and started the game up again everything was gone, all my houses, all my sims, all my settings changes, they were all gone it was like I had just gotten the game and completely started over. This happened to me last year too, the exact same thing where I changed nothing in my game or computer and randomly everything was deleted. I tried regular troubleshooting of restarting the game and my PC, but nothing changed, and i also did what someone on forums said to copy your sims file and make a new one then delete the original and that didn't bring anything back either. What doesn't make sense is in my sims 4 file folder I can see the save files from the last time I played but it still doesn't show up when I play the game. I've kind of come to terms (again) with the fact that I won't get my builds back since I didn't the last time this happened but I would still like to hear if anyone has a solution to this if/when it happens again. I've had all of my techy friends and family try and figure this out and nothing seems to fix it. I also tried to find the "repair game" option on EA play like origin had to repair any possible corrupt files, but couldn't find that either. And I don't have mods on my game whenever this happens, so it isn't the mods messing it up.
