all saved and prev saved games gone after update

I didnt play the game for a few months, logged on a few days ago, did all of my updates and my game is completely new. i only have 1 account, so i know im logged in correctly. when im on the main menu, there is no load previous games, my entire gallery is gone.

i went into my file explorer, went into sims4, saves, i can see but they arent openable documents, going to attach a snippit of what that screen looks like.

im not sure what to do to find my game :(
