ClientDeltaBuild6 corrupt

Sims 4 has been stuck verifying, patching and attempting to update for weeks now. I wanted to play today, which is when I found out it was struggling to update because the "ClientDeltaBuild6.package" is corrupt.

By now I've tried clearing my entire cashe and I tried veryfying the integrity of game files through steams. Neither sadly works. I'm scared that re-installing will delete my save files.

What do I do?

First thing to do is MOVE your save file folder to somewhere safe.
Once that is safe, you can try to uninstall and reinstall the game see if that helps.
