"An error on our end caused the launch to fail. Try again a little later"

Hi,

I have problems with the Sims 4. The game launches and crashes and I get the message "An error on our end caused the launch to fail. Try again a little later".

I have never used mods before until yesterday when I installed a few that my friend recommended. The game worked fine yesterday with the mods but today when i bought Royalty & Legacy this problem accured.

First the game lanuched but I couldn't create a new family and my savefiles from before didn't work. I removed the mods first from the Mod map,  same problem. I removed the whole mod map, same problem.

I then tested clear cashe in the EA launcher and deleted the localthumbcache file. None of this worked and I got a message saying "simsbud error 00000008:00000000000000c8".

I have tried to uninstall and reinstall both the EA Launcher and The Sims. I have tried to restart my computer. I have checked my antivirus and both EA Launcher and The Sims are whitelisted.

I have disabled the EA Launcher overlay.... is the only option to factory reset my PC or does anyone have any other idea?

Otherwise, when you launch the game, a clean folder will spawn with no content.  (Your saves and other content will be intact in the folder you've moved but temporarily unread by the game.)  Don't add anything to the new folder yet; just start a new save and see how it runs, that is if you can get that far.

If you get another Sims Delivery error (it's green and shows up in the upper-right corner of the Main Menu), please disable the feature overall.  The setting is under Options > Game Options > Sims Delivery.  There isn't any current SDX content; the issue is your game apparently can't check to see that.

If you still get the SDX error, please let me know what antivirus you use.
