Animations freezing

I've been having a lot of issues with the animations in this game lately. Sims seem to freeze in whatever animation their in and time will continue like normal. The sim will stay mid animation for hours unless I cancel their action and the sims will continue having problems until I reset the game.

Now...
I'm on the latest patch and things were running smooth at first.
I recently updated to the latest NVIDIA driver, so, I dunno if that is causing problems. 

But...
My game file only has like 8 sims but I think I'm on like day 80 and this game really starts to break the longer you play it.

Has anybody ran into problems like this? I do use a couple mods(CC) but I've tried with them on and off and I always have the same problems. Other then the mod that takes off the mosiac I don't think any of them change anything significantly enough...

    @DarkestPenguin  Does this happen in a new save as well?  Please test for comparison's sake and let me know.  I'm not saying you need to abandon your current save, only that this will help narrow down the source of the issue.

    If the new save is affected, please run a dxdiag and attach it to a post.

    If the new save is not affected, please try a different household in one of your main saves and let me know how it runs.
