Another "Is This PC Well Enough To Run Sims 4" Question From A Forum Newbie

So I just ordered a laptop from HP (Not Looking For HP Slander So Pls Be Kind) Specifically For Sims 4. I Have Almost All DLC'S Except For Star Wars/HighSchoolYears/HorseRanch and Have Maybe Almost 2,000 Files Of CC/Mods. After researching the last couple of weeks, I've seen nothing but "yOu NeEd A dEdIcAtEd GrApHiCs Card" Look dude, I'm not rich lmao so just wanted a little feedback on this laptop for Sims 4. Also, I am updating the RAM to 16gb as I think that's the most memory it can take...so guys, go ahead and roast me πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

PS: The processor I chose was the Amd Ryzen 7535hs

  • Peppaveli  No one here is going to roast you for your purchasing decision.  (Or if they do, feel free to hit the Report button; that kind of response is unnecessary and inappropriate on a forum like this.)  The integrated graphics chip in this processor is actually fine for Sims 4 if you don't need to play on ultra graphics settings.  High settings should be fine, and you can experiment with the various options to get a balance between looks and performance.  Doing so doesn't risk damaging the laptop unless it's already defective, in which case it's better to find out during the warranty period anyway.

Having 16 GB will be helpful for sure.

Congrats on your new HP computer. Being a HP computer owner for years and I have a Intel processor and my 83 year old dad also has a HP laptop computer with AMD Ryzen processor and he doesn't like it and it tends to get slow. But enough of that.  But, be aware when your laptop's computer does its updates. You may want to turn off updates and if you don't, it will affect your Sims4 when you want to launch the game and you might want to adjust your antivirus program too.  It did for me and I had to fix it both computer updates and also my antivirus program.

On the other hand, congrats on your new HP computer and happy gaming.    :)

I appreciate the tips! I love HP's but it's been hell looking for a smoother processor for less lag, fingers crossed that it works! I'll find out Monday when it delivers 🀞🏾🀞🏾🀞🏾
