Indeed. I opened Sims today and Origin asked me to update. I was given the option to skip the update, which I've never seen before.
I searched online for the update and could find no reference to a June 3, 2022 update. Therefore, I created a restore point.
I ran the update. It failed.
Now the game is repeatedly trying to update and, after I also ran a repair, is repeatedly trying to repair the game, successfully repairing all content except for the base game, which means the attempt is running over and over. Again and again, either connected with the repair issue or separate from it, it's saying Origin failed to update, every time.
IT IS LETTING ME INTO THE GAME. I am able to go to the house where my little guys are standing in front of their rigs, ready to go on with their lives. I have not played the game yet.
I am currently running a system restore with that restore point I created on the PC, hoping to prevent this issue from continuing or getting worse.
Something is going on, definitely, or so it seems to me.
