q4eq02w0k9ga Try repairing the game. If you've installed through the EA App, the option is Sims 4 > Manage > Repair. In Steam, it's Sims 4 > Properties > Installed Files > Verify integrity of game files.
However, if this is the only problem you're having with the game, I don't know how much time you'd want to spend fixing it. I can still make suggestions, but I don't want to waste a lot of your time trying to fix something that might not matter very much to you overall.

Restoring the game didn't help. Could this be related to the latest update from April 16th? What solutions do you suggest? I recently reinstalled the game completely, so I don't have much to lose.
