Can’t enable mods after update!

I haven’t been able to re enable mods since the update. I’ve tried restarting the same, restarting the computer and repairing the game, but still when I click enable mods restart the game it’ll still stat the that mods are disabled! 
Is there way to fix this? Or do I need to uninstall and reinstall
